PS3 - Hideo Kojima Ready To Develop New PS3 Game?

Hideo Kojima is probably one of the most recognized game developers of the modern time. Since he innovated the Metal Gear Solid franchise, he has been a mainstay in the PlayStation brand for a while. When the sequel to Guns of the Patriots became multiplatform, Kojima is believed to be currently working on the 'true sequel' for the said title, which is PSP's Peace Walker.

On the other hand, Modern Warfare 2 was a global phenomenon when it released in November. This, according to the OPMagazine, inspired Kojima to return to his developing duties on the PS3. According to Kojima, “After seeing Modern Warfare 2, I feel like I want to use all the modern specs!” When asked why he decided to move to the PSP, he merely said: “I wanted some young people to play MGS too. In Japan especially, the most popular hardware with this audience was the PSP.”

Kojima is currently eyeing a May release for Peace Walker, although another team is hard at work with MGS: Rising, which many are hoping to get a 2010 release date.
