PS3 - Home Beta News
Some good news and bad news regarding the ongoing beta for Home, Sony's upcoming online community for the PlayStation 3. A date has been tentatively set for the open beta but it's not as soon as some may like.
Sony has confirmed the closed beta is going to be expanded to include more people. Upon completion of this closed beta it will be made into an open beta. The time for that? Fall 2008.
According to Sony chief Kazuo Hirai, this timeline is required to make sure the final product is up to standards the company wants.
No other details right now but Sony will be announcing more regarding the beta expansion in the near future.
