PS3 - Hot Shots Golf 5 Coming In 2008
The PS3 golf title from Sony Computer Entertainment and Clap Hanz, Hot Shots Golf 5, is scheduled for a March 2008 release in the US. Here's a sneak preview into what gamers can expect from the game once it is out.
Some of the exciting new features include the New Shot System, online tournaments, extensive stat tracking, new playable characters and caddies, and larger courses.
The great thing about this New Shot System is that it takes the focus away from the power meter, and redirects it more towards the player. Other external factors such as distance and weather could come into play when judging on how the swing should be executed.
Aside from the additional gameplay elements, Hot Shots Golf 5 also allows online tournaments, supporting up to 50 players, including an online match amongst eight participating players. If you have tournaments, it is only fitting that you should be able to track your stats online to see who has the best scoring average, driving distance, driving accuracy, numbers of holes-in-one, and a few other factors.
