PS3 - Japan Eager For PS3 Games
The PS3 has once again been given a boost in Japan. In fact, four PS3 games is among the top ten most wanted games as listed in the Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu.
Although the DS game Dragon Quest IX topped the list, three PS3 games trailed closely behind: Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4, taking the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
One other PS3 game, Devil May Cry 4, sits comfortably in the ninth spot. Meanwhile three other PS3 games made it within the top 20 list, which includes The Last Remnant (14), White Knight Story (15) and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (18).
The 360 and Wii, however, only had one game each that had made it to the top ten. Smash Bros Brawl came in fifth and Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey finished seventh. Wii game Monster Hunter 3 fell short of making it to the top 10, ending at the 11th spot.
The handhelds also did quite a respectable job at the list: the DS had four games in the top ten list, while the PSP had one game in the top 20.
Famitsu came up with the list through votes cast by its readers and it has yet to be seen whether this will actually reflect sales as well. But for all this, PS3 is actually looking good in Japan.
