PS3 - Japan Gets Three Ways To Grab MGS 4

Ever since the announcement for Konami Digital and Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, fans are in full anticipation for it. And now that the game's release is just around the corner, we're pretty sure that the MGS4 80GB PS3 bundle that was being offered in this side of the world seems to be a really generous offer. But wait till you hear about the MGS4 bundle that is being offered out there in Japan.

According to reports from Famitsu, Japanese fans will get to experience three flavors of MGS4 goodness. Fans will be able to choose from three packages: a base pack, Special Edition, and a premium pack. As for the base pack, it will comprise of the game's copy plus Metal Gear Online. The Special Edition pack will include a Blu-ray disc containing trailers and a making-of video. Lastly, there is a PlayStation 3 bundle similar to what was announced for North America recently.

Before you get too excited, here's more. According to a Japanese magazine, Konami will also be offering a "special model" PS3 to be included in that premium MGS4 pack. And while the said report has failed to specify in which color that said model will sport, it did indicate that Konami will be revealing more specific details on March 21.
