PS3 - Japanese Launch Figures Lowered
This maybe doesn´t sound too promising for availability of the PS3. Here it is just shy of 2 weeks away from the launch of the eagerly awaited PS3 and it has been announced the initial amount of launch units has been cut by 20%, from 100,000 to 80,000.
As a bit of perspective the PS2 launched with a million units in Japan on day one and sold out that day. One can guess low long 1/10th the amount will last.
Things are rumored to be not quite to plan in North America, either,- supposedly best Buy still does not know as of yet how many units they will be getting. This came from an ¨anonymous Best Buy employee¨ so take it with a shaker or two of salt, I think.
