PS3 - Mark Rein Expects 2008 For UT3 In Europe
Fans will be delighted to hear that Epic Games' Unreal Tournament 3 will soon arrive on the Sony PS3, although the same cannot be said for Europe just yet. Epic Games VP Mark Rein details that “Europe's a problem because the certification process in Europe takes longer.” He further adds that they are working on trying to get the title released in that region in 2007, but it seems like they would not make it.
Rein says, “They're testing all these different languages in all these different countries, so I doubt it'll be released this year in Europe.”
In a previous interview, Rein has revealed that the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 looks great, and today his opinion remains the same. He said, “This build is really solid.”
While the release of the title's PS3 version is still covered in anticipation, PC gamers in North America can now experience the game's fast-paced action this November 19. Meanwhile, the PC version of UT3 in Europe will be coming November 23, as it looks like the PS3 version will have to wait 'til 2008.
