PS3 - Metal Gear Online Beta Details

There hasn't been lack of reports on Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, as Konami's director of PR Michael Shelling has also posted information on the official PlayStation Blog; but still many are confused even though the Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive's June 12 release is already in sight.

One thing's for sure though, and that is Metal Gear Online's beta test will begin on April 21. Only a few will get the chance to join the beta which will run for two weeks, and the only way to get into the online battlefield is by acquiring the download code available in the Metal Gear Solid 4 pre-order package. These packages will be available at retailers by April 1.

Because the pre-order supplies are limited, so are the number of players who can go online. As of now, the best way to get into MGO is through that download code from the package. However, Konami has detailed it is possible to provide wider beta access if they are able to secure promotional partners, although it has yet to be confirmed at this time.
