PS3 - More Call Of Duty In 2009

Looks like Activision Blizzard is serious about going up against EA, even when it comes to publishing games annually. That idea came along with the recent announcement of a new Call of Duty game, due out next year.

Activision Blizzard CEO, Bobby Kotick, has revealed this when he detailed a new Call of Duty will be published in 2009.

However, Kotick has also detailed that they will be "leapfrogging" studios in the process. With this he means that the development of Call of Duty will be done by alternating studios during the process. Treyarch is currently working on Call of Duty: World at War (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS) while Infinity Ward will be taking care of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). This will leave the latter just enough time to work on the latest CoD game, in time for its 2009 release.

No exact details have been revealed about what the 2009 Call of Duty will be like. But it's certainly good news that fans can expect a CoD title to arrive next year.
