PS3 - More Modern Warfare 2 DLC Revealed
Stimulus Package is the first map pack for Modern Warfare 2, which is still awaiting release. And yet, the developers are already talking about the future in terms of releasing DLC for the title. This is no surprise though, given MW2's massive commercial and critical success.
Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward's Community Manager, has recently revealed in an interview that there is more DLC in store for Modern Warfare 2. He also managed to detail about the price for the first map pack, which was previously heavily criticized for its price tag of $15. Since the pack contains 5 maps in total, it means that each map costs $3. But Bowling defended that this price will prove “worthwhile” once you get your hands on the DLC, saying:
“I have no doubt that anyone who downloads this map pack is going to get their money’s worth. They’re going to feel their investment is worthwhile. Because if you’re playing Modern Warfare 2 like myself or many other people do every night, that’s actually going to give you a bunch of new mileage and a bunch of extra gameplay – to really explore and discover them and to really, you know, come up with new tactics and experience them in a whole new way. Regardless of what the price is you’re going to feel your money’s well-spent.”
Currently, Bowling could only confirm at least one more DLC pack on the way for Modern Warfare 2. He says: “We’re definitely going to do at least one more DLC pack, but the direction of it and specifically what we’re going to do hasn’t been determined yet.”
The Stimulus Package DLC for Modern Warfare 2 is expected to hit the PSN this April 30.
