PS3 - Motorstorm Patch Now Available To North America
It´s been awhile in coming but the downloadable patch for Motorstorm is finally available to North American gamers. In a somewhat odd bit the patch was announced as delayed in North America last week but then released in the UK the next day.
This patch takes care of some of the glitch cheats some people have been using online as well as allows up to 50 friends on your in-game friends list. Also added to the game is Time Attack. This mode allows you to go for your best time on a given track and then saves your ¨ghost¨, which can be sent to other gamers. You will be able to race against up to 7 ghosts at once on a track.
The other game mode that had been talked about before, Elimination, seems to have gone missing. At a guess this game mode possibly needed some more polish before release.
Before downloading and installing the update from the store make sure to first delete the first update in the game data folder (found at the top of the PS3´s Game menu). Once that is done, start up the game and head to the Online mode. The game will then prompt you to download an update. Once this is completed you can then download the Time Attack add-on from the PlayStation Store.
