PS3 - Namco Bandai, Ninja Theory Reveal Enslavement For PS3, 360
During the GamesCom event in August, Namco Bandai has revealed that it is teaming up with Ninja Theory (the developer for the Heavenly Sword franchise) for a mystery project due for release in 2010. and today, we just got information on what this mystery project is. The new title is called Enslaved and is available for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
This game is set during postapocalyptic America, wherein it follows the story of slaves that are forced to work for survival. Playing as the game's protagonist is a muscular Monkey, which was captured by the slaves including the techno-savvy woman Trip. The pair need to work together to escape and find refuge.
With Enslaved, it will also reunite Ninja Theory and Andy Serkis, the same who voiced Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Serkis will be responsible in directing and portraying the Monkey. Meanwhile, Serkis also worked with Ninja Theory for Heavenly Sword, wherein he voiced King Bohan.
Meanwhile, British music producer and club DJ Nitin Sawhney has been tapped to handle musical scoring for the game. Sawhney has also worked with Heavenly Sword in the past, as well as numerous films and television shows. And finally, Alex Garland will be co-writing the story for the game.
