PS3 – Kojima Back with a New Metal Gear Solid
Gaming legend Hideo Kojima has confirmed in an interview with Dutch gaming website Gamert that more Metal Gear Solid games are coming.
This comes as a surprise to some as Kojima has previously said that the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be the last game in the series. It seems like Solid Snake will be back with a new mission after what seemed to be its last.
In the same interview, Kojima has revealed that he finds it harder to part with Solid Snake, a character he has created, rather than the game itself.
He has also added that the game has become such a huge gaming sensation among fans that it will be quite difficult for them to get rid of it entirely.
For the new version of the game, Kojima will not be concerned with the development and will only play the producer’s role. However, he has also given his staff the freedom to create a new franchise out of the game.
With the Metal Gear Solid series now under the hands of new developers, it is hard to tell whether the title will retain the plot twists that Kojima is especially known for and, more importantly, the level of adventure.
As for now, it’s just a ‘wait and see’ situation. But it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Kojima working with MGS again if fans asked for it.

This is good to hear for us MGS loving fans.
Long may this series continue.
I hope they just don't get stuck in a ruck so to speak like the Tomb Raider games did. Granted Legend and then Anniversary were brilliant games, but those came after a disappointing one, two or even three games.
Let's hope that doesn't happen to this great series.
Huh.......
Omg, yesss.......
