PS3 - New Batman Game Revealed
The latest issue of Game Informer magazine has got some juicy details on Eidos Interactive's newest project, which is Batman: Arkham Asylum. Although there is not much detail revealed about the title yet, there is some “world exclusive” bits that are bound to excite gamers:
“This completely original title explores Gotham City's darkest location, the infamous Arkham Asylum. But as a routine prison transfer goes wrong, the Joker sets his demented plan into action and Batman comes face to face with an army of his worst enemies. In a dark and gritty setting reminiscent of Bioshock (with a story co-written by Paul Dini), Arkham Asylum is setting the stage for a true-to-character Batman game.”
Another interesting detail about Arkham Asylum is that it is speculated to be powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 3. Meanwhile, among the platforms in which it was scheduled for release include PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 in an unspecified date in 2009.
Now, after EA has let the opportunity of creating a “Dark Knight” game slip off of their fingers, someone else finally decided to give Batman fans what they deserve. More updates as we have them!
