Midway Games has just confirmed that there is an ongoing production for next-gen versions of Blitz: The League (PS2, Xbox, Wii, Xbox 360, PSP) and Mortal Kombat franchises which is projected for release next year. Before this confirmation report, rumors have been circulating regarding a new Mortal Kombat game, in which details were spilled by the series' co-creator Ed Boon. Boon also hinted that the new MK game will be headed for the PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as the possibility of tying up with another hit franchise.
