PS3 - New Firmware Available

Those wild and crazy guys at Sony are keeping busy with the PlayStation 3 firmware updates- we have another one available for download, bringing things up to version 1.82.

This update is a minor fix overall. The main feature here is allowing AVC High Profile (H.264/MPEG-4) playback support, a high quality video format. Also included in the update is an upgrade to the backward compatibility list, allowing for even more PlayStation 2 and PSOne games to be played.

A link to the North American download can be found in the free downloads area for those that prefer to update via USB.
