PS3 - No Guitar Peripheral For Rock Revolution- Konami
Konami has confirmed that Rock Revolution (PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, DS) won't be having any guitar controller. Instead of a guitar, the game will get a drum peripheral. But if you want to play the guitar parts, you can do so by using any of the Guitar Hero or Rock Band controllers.
Mondona Akhazan, Konami Associate Product Manager, has revealed that Rock Revolution was originally designed to be a drum-focused game, instead of guitar.
Akhazan revealed that it is their intention to deviate from the focus of their competitors, saying that “[they] wanted to pay homage to the drummer.”
The six pads in Rock Revolution's drum kit will be compatible with both Rock Band and Guitar Hero: World Tour despite the fact that each have four and five, respectively. If you are using controllers from these other two games, it will automatically reconfigure the drum tracks depending on the inputs of the controller you are currently using.
Look out for the standalone edition of Rock Revolution to be released on October 14th while the bundle follows sometime in November.
