PS3 - No Preorders At Gamestop?
The possibility is there that Gamestop, one of the largest game retailers in the US, will not be taking preorders for the PlayStation 3.
At a sales conference being held by the company in Dallas, Texas, mentioned this bit of news and citing the XBox 360 launch problems as a reminder not to make the same mistakes again. ¨I think the lesson is caution and optimism at the same time,¨ said Steve Morgan, GameStop´s president. As you will recall, the number of preorders greatly outweighed supply and some people waited months before getting their system despite it being fully paid for.
Gamestop´s web page, as of yet, has no mention of preorder plans so there is a possibility this will be the case. They do have a link for signing up to get new information as it comes to them. This may be the best way to find out what their plans are.
