PS3 - No Selectable Language Track In MGS4

We touched on this before in other articles but this one confirms it.

In the recent Kojima Productions Report podcast, MGS4 producer Ryan Payton announced that the game won't be having a voice over track for other languages. Payton details:

“Unfortunately because of disc space, we don't have the space to include other languages, other voice over files for the respective versions. So the Japanese version's not gonna have English VO, and the North American and European versions won't have Japanese VO.”

He does go on to boast that the MGS4 voice over work is the best it's ever seen. And then Kojima Pro's Aki Saito butts in saying that they could have delayed the game to have the VO work in, but pointed out that the PS3 is region-free to those fans who really want to hear the Japanese VO. Looks like MGS4 is really making the most of the Blu-ray space.
