PS3 - No Sequel Planned For LittleBigPlanet: Media Molecule
Media Molecule was quick to shut down any questions about a supposed sequel for LBP during a recent interview. According to the devs, releasing LittleBigPlanet 2 would be “counterproductive”.
Danny Leaver, Level Designer for LBP, said that “[they'd] never want to do that. That'd be the most counterproductive thing you could do I think.”
So, instead of releasing a sequel, Media Molecule is instead focusing on DLC and updates for the game. Produce Martin Lynagh adds, “I think what you've seen so far from LittleBigPlanet, that's the way it's going to continue.”
He further reveals, “We have a lot of stuff coming out, especially next year. We can't really talk about specifics for a lot of it at the moment, because a lot of it hasn't been announced.”
More on this then once details are revealed!
