PS3 - PIrates Coming To "Plunder" PSN
In the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM), Certain Affinity has detailed that it will be working on its first original game, a pirate-themed game called "Plunder". According to the development team (composed of people previously with Bungie Studios, Red Storm, Microsoft, EA, NCsoft, Anvil, and Origin), "Plunder" takes its influence from Klaus Teuber's board game Settlers of Catan.
For this game, players' main objectives include steering a ship and grabbing lands. To make things more interesting, players will be able to attack enemy ships and get updates as they plunder as much as they can. You need to make your ship grow stronger as you advance in the game, thus they become a formidable threat as they prey on other ships.
When dealing with pirates, expect lots of traps and curses involved in the game. Not only that, the mechanics for this game are pretty easy to understand, but it's mastering the game where the real challenge lies.
Certain Affinity's "Plunder" also boasts eight player online action, as well as a four-player split screen option. Capcom will be handling the publishing of this game and is currently slated for a June release.
