PS3 - PlayStation Store Geting An Overhaul In April
Sony has been hearing the complaint for some time now about the PlayStation Store sometimes being difficult to navigate to find what you are looking for. Those calls have been heeded- the new look of the store will be coming in mid-April. Here's a screenshot of what to expect:
You'll notice eight categories to choose from along the left side as opposed to the current four tabs- looks much easier to find everything. They will now be able to show more items per page, making for less pages to wade through.
To facilitate the changes, though, they have announced there will not be any new content on the store, both for North America and the UK/ European stores, for the next two weeks. The stores will still be open and you will be able to purchase anything currently available- just don't expect any new stuff for a bit.
Once the new store is ready users will get notified of a new firmware update to download and install. More details as updates come in.
