PS3 - Pre-Order Deals In Canada For Assassin's Creed
An announcement from Ubisoft gives a bit of incentives for preordering Assassin's Creed, wich comes out in North America on November 15. These preorder deals are in Canada only but no doubt there will be similar offers in other areas.
Currently Microplay stores as well as Toys R Us locations are offering a two foot high wall decal, which will be given when you return on launch day to pay the balance. Pre-orders are also being accepted at Canadian web sites www.futureshop.ca and www.bestbuy.ca.
For those that aren't into the wall decals (which would be many I would think) starting on September 7 Wal-Mart stores will be taking pre-orders. For a $10 deposit gamers get a Special Assassin's Creed DVD case including a poster and a DVD featuring bonus content.
Starting on September 14 EB games will be taking pre-orders in Canada. Gamers heading here will get an exclusive tin box with a set of four lithographs and a bonus content DVD. In addition, one of those tin sets will have their lithos autographed by the development team!
HMV stores will begin taking pre-orders on October 1- no word on any special offers here.
Finally, for those waiting until the actual release date, those buying at their local FutureShop store will also receive an embroidered cap. Best Buy customers will receive a leather bracelet when purchasing the game on launch day.
In a final bit of news, a Collector's Edition will be available as well. For CAD $79.99 ($10 over the regular version's price) the collector's edition comes in a "highly collectable metal display box with a unique brushed steel and embossed design as well as a numbered authenticity hologram". Also included in the package are:
o 3" Altair Exclusive Figure
o The Assassin's Creed comic book
o Mini-Strategy Guide
o DVD Containing:
* Developer Diaries
* IFC Short Films
* Making Of
* Trailers
* E-goodies: Wallpaper, screenshots, artwork and many more!
The choice for where to pick up this game may have become a bit more difficult.
