PS3 - PS3 Beats Wii In Japan

According to Enterbrain, although the Nintendo's Wii might have topped the charts for the last week of November, the PlayStation 3 ruled the charts for three consecutive weeks previous to that, which is the reason why it claims honors for being the top console for the said month.

For the four weeks of November, the PlayStation 3 sold a total units of 183, 217 in Japan, while the Wii sold lesser with 159,193 units. And even for the week leading to November 25 (in which the Wii toppled the PS3 off the top), the 4,000 units sold difference was quite minimal.

And with this heated race for the top spot between the Wii and the PS3 during the month of November, it would be interesting to see how this competition develops into the holiday season.
