PS3 - PS3 Drops Back In US Sales Charts

For the week ending October 20, VGChartz has revealed some big surprises as the Microsoft Xbox 360 continues its dominance over the Nintendo Wii despite a 10% drop on sales for the Xbox 360. Raking in the fewest sales at around 23,000, with a 12% drop in sales this week, is the Playstation 3. Nintendo's Wii sold a total 117,000 units while the Xbox 360 held a slim lead with 126,000 units.

Moving over to the software side of the battle, just when most of us thought that Halo 3 has lost its spark, it manages to climb back up to the top. The hit title grabbed the number 1 spot away from Orange Box (which came in second at this week's charts, selling 80,000 copies) by selling another 200,000 copies, bringing the total sales to almost 4,000,000 copies.

Meanwhile, placing at number 8 is Beautiful Katamari with over 35,000 copies sold. Also worth mentioning, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground was outsold by Xbox 360's Skate in this week's chart.
