PS3 - R&C Future Includes 1.94 Firmware, Enables Rumble Support
As some may be aware Sony has recently introduced the DualShock 3, a rumble-enabled controller for the PS3. This controller is available in japan this fall with release in all other regions in Spring 2008.
Also recently announced was the fact Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction ( released yesterday in North America) supports rumble out of the box. Thing is, how does it do this? The answer is simple- the firmware is included on the disc. It isn't available for download yet but one can expect it to be very soon. Also of note, Warhawk is expected to be rumble-enabled sometime in December.
Considering the DS3 is region free (as are all controllers) it makes it somewhat tempting to look up an importer or eBay to get the controller at release in Japan.
