PS3 - Resident Evil: Extinction Blu-Ray Date Confirmed

Sony has announced recently that they will be coming up with a Blu-Ray version of the box-office hit Resident Evil: Extinction. The company is looking at a January 2, 2008 release for the movie and its suggested retail price is currently at US $39.98.

Aside from the film content itself, Sony is also looking at including a host of exclusive content to go along with the Blu-Ray movie version of Resident Evil: Extinction. Among these exclusive contents are the “Under the Umbrella” video commentary and the “Blu-Wizard 2.0” version of Sony's disc search content and organization interface. Not only that, the Blu-Ray disc for the film will also include supplements from the standard-def DVD film version.

However, Capcom has confirmed that the Blu-Ray version of the film won't include the playable demos available in Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 (for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC), which had been rumored on other sites. This means fans will just have to settle with both games' high-def trailers for now.
