PS3 - Rock Band Delayed Again In Canada
For some time now, rumors about shipment delays for Harmonix' music game, Rock Band (Xbox 360, PS3) have been confirmed. With this recent development, it looks like fans in Canada will have to wait a bit longer to get a copy of the said game.
The Rock Band Canadian release was initially schedule on December 17 but was moved further to the 28th, as confirmed by MTV Games.
It's not the scarcity of the game that is the issue here. Apparently, the shipment delays were due to sales regulations that required English translations to go with the French-Canadian text included in the games box and manual. And to further complicate things, there were also issues arising from the “boxes the size of small cars”.
EA (Electronic Arts) have also previously said that they will only be producing a few copies of the game for December, inciting paranoia among Canadian fans thinking that they were only producing it for the US consumers. Whatever the case maybe, looks like Canadian fans will have to be a bit more patient.
