PS3 - Rockstar Clarifies GTA IV Multiplayer Rumors
Recent reports have shown Microsoft's Don Mattrick saying the XBox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV would contain online multiplayer that was "unique to 360". This led some to speculate on the PS3 version's multiplayer (or possible lack of it).
But, fear not- Rockstar has confirmed that both version will indeed have online multiplayer. A spokesperson for Rockstar said, "It's always something we've been open about, both versions will support online multiplayer capabilities". Details of those multiplayer capabilities are yet to be announced.
With that said, it seems as though Mattrick may have been alluding to the 360 experience being more "unique" compared to the PS3's online and not alluding to any sort of exclusivity at all.
GTA IV is still on course for an April 29 release worldwide.
