PS3 - Rumor Central: Home Open Beta March 20?
If Phil Harrison's departure from Sony has continued to bother you, despite Sony's assurance that the development is still ongoing, then this should help settle your nerves a bit. Apparently, the countdown for the virtual world/reality service's beta release has been spotted. With this counter comes a promise that the PlayStation Home is indeed coming soon.
If you're thinking just when the countdown will end, judging from the counter itself, looks like we should expect a March 20 release, or at least sometime near that. We still have to receive any official word from Sony itself regarding the matter though, but as far as release dates are concerned, this seems quite feasible.
Talk of this counter on various sites are concluding it is a fake, going by the registration information (registered to someone in Sweden and not Sony themselves) and the URL itself not matching anything Sony would possibly use. Still, it is possible to be legit and Sony is throwing this out as a bit of a viral. More updates when we have them!
