PS3 - SingStar Patch To Allow Disc Swapping
To all karaoke lovers out there, SCEE's SingStar PS3 will be getting a patch that enables players to switch out their discs to gain access on tracks available on other SingStar titles.
As of today, only PS3 discs are allowed to swap. And because there is only one SingStar title on the PS3 available in the US, this gives PS3 owners not much of a choice. However, with this new functionality and a couple of SingStar titles on the way (SingStar Vol. 2 and SingStar Abba), this is a very good news!
Meanwhile, the PS2-compatible patch will also follow soon but it is not clear yet as to the backwards compatibility of the PS3 and PS2 discs. If this would be made possible, then it is great news for PS3 and PS2 fans alike.
