PS3 - So Much More Than Just a Games Machine
Sony's PS3 has just recently bagged an award at European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), which goes to show that the Playstation 3 has gained the recognition of being not only a high-end gaming console but also as a multimedia hub.
And with regards to this, PS3 is looking to expand its popularity by conducting a tour across UK, which is set for the holidays. Kicking off today (October 1), the “PlayStation 3 UK Tour” will last until the end of December. The tour will be making stops at such major venues like the O2 Arena, shopping malls, universities, and even train stations.
More than anything, this tour aims to showcase the features of the console that are really beyond the realms of gaming such as HD pictures, music, photography, PSN, and PSP compatibility.
It aims to highlight its capabilities as a multimedia tool, and this is the ultimate chance for people in the UK to experience that first-hand and for free via some demonstration units.
Who knows, maybe they'd show some Blu-Ray movies, because that's one reason why EISA handed out the Gadget of the Year award to the PS3.

It better come to Leeds that's all I can say.
We always miss out on the so called "good stuff". A lack of an arena means we miss out on concerts, and the WWE, so chances are we'll miss out on this as well.
I hope Sony surprise me.
For their sakes, they better turn up on a day that I'm not there else I'll probably end up getting arrested or something for complaining about all the bad things that have happened to us European gamers :D haha
Does anyone know if they'll be stopping at the NEC Arena in Birmingham.. Thats the only major venue thats just within my reach i think and i'll be more than happy to go down there even if it means, dropping EVERYTHING !!!!!...:D ;)
