There has been quite a bit of talk lately regarding the latest attempt to bring Sonic the Hedgehog to the next-gen (current- gen?) consoles, Sonic Unleashed.

According to the web site Sega ON, the game is a major collaboration of several Sega studios spread throughout Europe, Japan and the US. The mission statement on the site reads very much to the point as well: "Rebuild the Sonic brand and prove it could work in 3D environments."

Will it work? Well, if the video below is any indication, maybe they will get things on track this time.
