PS3 - Sony Discontinuing 20 GB, 60 GB PS3s In Japan

Sony has decided to discontinue the sale of both the 20 GB and 60 GB models of PS3 in Japan, which has been the last market where these were available. The plan is to focus marketing on the reportedly cheaper to produce 40 GB model (the 80 GB is currently a North American exclusive).

This follows the path laid out by Kaz Hirai in his pledge of profitability for the PlayStation 3- simplifying the production is a good start in following through with the promise.
