PS3 - Sony Scuttles Sngstar Beatles Rumors
With the GamesCom event, many were talking about the possibility of the PS3 Slim announcement, which was actually the case. But aside from this announcement, gamers were also in full anticipation of which games could possibility be showcased as well. One of these reported games is SingStar Beatles wherein many claim is coming exclusively to the PS3.
Several online publications have claimed this saying that it will be an “instrument-free port” of The Beatles: Rock Band. Also bundled along is the SingStar microphone. In addition to that, MTV Games and Electronic Arts will be handling the publishing and distribution of the title, respectively.
To clarify this, Sony handled all of the development and publishing for all previous SingStar Games and none has had a simultaneous worldwide launching since most products are region-specific.
When Sony Europe was contacted to make a comment on this matter, they blatantly said that they had “no news/plans to release a SingStar Beatles.”
Sounds like some of those sites were confusing a Beatles Rock Band/ Mic bundle being compared to Singstar to mean it would be a Singstar title.
