PS3 - Stores Prepping For UK/ Euro Launch
The launch of the PlayStation 3 is only 8 days away as I write this and it sounds like retailers are getting as excited about it as the gamers.
There will be an official launch at the Virgin Megastores location on Oxford Street in London, England but other retailers will also be doing their own midnight launches to fill preorders and sell consoles to those that can´t wait.
Some locations have worked with Sony to set up special PS3 concept bays in their stores. Retailers are amazed at the buzz going regarding the console, saying they have never seen this much anticipation for a launch before.
So, can Sony meet the demand (which some are thinking they won´t)? Retailers say Sony has been doing a great job of supplying units for sale, helping to market the console in- store and impress those who may not be familiar with the console.
