PS3 - This Week's Blu-Ray Movie Releases (Week Of June 10/ 08)

After last week's interesting concoction of monster movies, war films, and a few wacky Spartans, this week brings you with the same variety of featured films. Among those included in this batch are western films, Sci-Fi action movies, historical adaptations, and a whole lot more.

One thing that might interest you with the latest batch of Blu-Ray releases is that Sony has included a few recently released films. Among these new films is 20th Century Fox' Jumper and Sony's own The Other Boleyn Girl.

Jumper is another Sci-Fi movie which tells the story of David Rice (Hayden Christensen) who discovers that he possesses the power of teleportation that enables him to go to different parts of the world. However, unlike any other “super humans”, he abuses this power to his own selfish desires, which eventually comes to the attention of the superpowered beings that are out to eliminate all “jumpers” like him.

In Sony's own released The Other Boleyn Girl, it takes you through a love triangle between two Boleyn sisters (played by Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson) and one male (Eric Bana). This is a film version based on the 16th century account of King Henry VIII of England's one-time mistress, Mary Boleyn.

If those aforementioned films aren't your type, then maybe you can get the much-needed kick from an all-time action movie, Natural Born Killers. This movie, which is a contemporary version of the classic Bonnie and Clyde, features graphic imagery that will wake up the senses of its viewers. Written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Oliver Stone, this film will surely take the phrase “graphic violence” to a whole new dimension. Movie lovers will now get to enjoy in full high definition this classic 1994 action flick.
