PS3 UbiSoft Talks EndWar
Aside from a voice command and sci-fi type weapons, what more can you ask for in a game? Well, I'm sure you're craving some more information on Tom Clancy's EndWar (PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, DS), especially for the newbies on this game. Fortunately for you, Ubisoft Creative Director Michael Deplater took the time to update us on the game during the recent 2008 Game Developers Conference.
Ubisoft “leapfrogged” past the controller issue by designing the voice command feature early and in conjunction with Tom Clancy's EndWar, reveals Mr. Deplater. They have opted to keep the vocabulary of commands short and sweet to keep the gameplay as intuitive as possible.
Moreover, he also detailed that the seemingly sci-fi weapons are adapted from real life weapons that were either on the table, in prototype form or already being used on the real world battlefield: exoskeletons, tactical lasers, combat drones, taser systems and kinetic energy rods mounted on satellites, among others. Now, how's that for lifelike gaming quality?
Apart from what he has discussed above, he also touched on various other stuffs like army customization and multiplayer elements. If all these details has got you in the mood for gaming, well then do wait up for more, updates soon as we'll try to keep you posted until the game finally ships in.
