PS3 - Unreal Tournament 3 Delay Could Mean Content The Same As PC Version

Although fans were initially disappointed to know that the release of Midway Games' Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 was delayed, there's actually some good news to go along with it. Apparently, the rescheduled release date was still set at around the same time as the previously-announced release date, which is still within this year.

According to Mark Rein, even though the release of Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 was delayed it is now expected to have the same amount of content as with the Xbox 360 and the PC version. He has said that despite the delay, “our goal is still to get the PS3 version of UT3 in stores before the end of 2007. However, we will only ship it once it is ready and is the best game we can deliver.”

The developers will now utilize the extra time they've got to develop the PS3 version so that it will have all the same maps as in the PC version, which was not really the original plan, had the delay not have happened.
