PS3 - Virgin Allowing In-Store Camping Tomorrow
Virgin is going a little bit extra for those planning on camping out at their Oxford Street location for the PS3. Starting at noon tomorrow the lower ground floor of the store will be turned into a campsite to allow gamers to secure their spot and be comfy doing it. Entertainment, refreshments and ¨surprise events¨ are promised, and the first customers to arrive will receive official PlayStation merchandise.
It is looking like Vigin Megastore is the only Oxford Street store to still be having a midnight launch for the PS3- at present midnight Friday is still the time set for when the first PS3 units will be available at that location. Both GAME and HMV have opted to go for early Friday morning openings after concerns about public safety were raised. Some regional branches will still be doing midnight launches- best to contact them to find out about what their plans are.
