PS3 - Vivendi Looking For New Publisher For Ghostbusters Game
We have previously reported that Activision Blizzard have failed to include Ghostbusters: The Video Game (PS3, 360, Wii, DS, PC) in the list of games to be released this year. This led many to fear that the game might eventually be canceled. However, recent news have sprung that might bring forth varying reactions from fans.
It was reported that Vivendi is “re-evaluating” their options on how to release this multiplatform game. The game's movie counterpart, which will be handled by Sony Pictures, needs to be considered as well, and so they have to make up their minds on what is best for the project.
Since the movie and the game won't be released at the same time, Sony is planning to release the video game on its 25th anniversary which will be next year, 2009. Finding a publisher for the game is the next thing to worry about.
Finding a publisher for the game won't be that difficult though, knowing that there has been a major marketing and development money invested on it. But with a hit franchise such as Ghostbusters, the company will be reaping the rewards in the end.
