PS3 - Warhawk Is Multiplayer Only
It had been rumored to be the case after hearing about delays and a ¨change in direction¨ for the return of a game that first came on the PlayStation way back in 1995. It is now official- the PlayStation 3 Warhawk will be multiplayer only, no single player campaign mode whatsoever.
It was revealed in IGN´s weekly video podcast along with footage, which did look greatly improved from what was originally shows at TGS.
The modes of play include Deathmatch, capture the flag, player statistics, voice chat, 32 player multi-player, etc.- pretty much the basic online multiplayer versions of other full games that did have a single player version. Chances are the online play will be regionalised, as has been the case for most PS3 games. No official word on that however.
I had high hopes for playing this one when first announced- with this bit of news, I think I will be holding off.
