PS3 - Watchmen Headed To PSN

The Watchmen are set to arrive in a very unconventional way, and that is through the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and the PC.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment recently confirmed that at least a couple of downloadable games based on Watchmen will indeed arrive. Deadline Games were tapped to take care of the game's development, and the first episode is set to arrive at about the same time as the movie's release. Meanwhile, the second episode will arrive later, just as the DVD release.

Warner Bros. VP of Product and Development, Samantha Ryan, has detailed that “[they] don't want a low-quality console game that will get lost at retail. A downloadable game allows us to deliver the experience that fans expect.”

Also, the said entertainment company is hoping to increase the quality of individual games through innovating episodic gaming and make it a hit amongst both moviegoing gamers and reviewers. We have yet to find out whether this idea of episodic gaming will prove to be a success for Watchmen, especially for a game adaptation of a film.
