PSP - Firmware Update 4.00 Coming Soon
Eric Lempel, the Director of PlayStation Network Operations, has just left word via the official PlayStation Blog in North America the PSP will be getting a new firmware update very soon. This will jump it up to version 4.00 (currently the PSP is at 3.95).
So, what's new in this firmware update? For one, an internet search (powered by Google) will be placed in the Network section. If you're connected online via wi-fi and want/ need to do a quick internet search, you just need your PSP.
One other function alluded to is of interest to those using the PSP for video playback. Wanting to fast forward to a particular spot in a video? Just hit up or down on the d-pad to speed up/ slow down the playback.
Expect this update to happen within the next few days. We'll let you know when it is available.
