PSP - New Model Submitted To FCC
A few months back, rumors sprung about the PSP-3000. Although many were delighted about the possibility, many dismissed this right away as a rumor. However, Sony has just recently submitted a new PSP-3001 model to the FCC for testing.
The said report from the FCC was dated July 7, and July 9 to 16 were listed as testing dates. Since an FCC certification runs for about 2 to 4 weeks, you can expect that is done by now.
There's a lot of pretty technical stuff on the FCC reports and while there's no big "Pandora-proof" seal anywhere there, I'd it's pretty fair to assume that this new model would carry some sort of heavy protection against Pandora, just like the PSP-2000 TA-088v3.
The FCC reports also detailed about several technical stuff regarding this PSP model. Therefore, this is indeed fast becoming a possibility! Maybe we can assume that a Christmas release for the PSP-3000 would seem likely. However, we still have to wait for an official announcement from Sony. More updates as we have them!
