PSP - NFL Player In PSP Ad Campaign
Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) is planning to release a new TV advertising campaign for the PSP handheld platform. And it looks like they are tapping NFL All-Pro athlete Michael Strahan of the New York Giants to help them with the said campaign.
The new line of commercials for the PSP will be extending the 'Dude, Get Your Own' campaign which will have the said football star as its image model. He will be starring with the PSP's “Annoying Guy” which is featured in the current ads for the handheld platform. And with the new endorsement campaign, Strahan is positive about this new teamup:
“I love playing my PSP and getting to work with these guys for the advertising campaign has been a lot of fun,” says Strahan. He further adds, “With my busy travel schedule during the season, the new PSP is a perfect companion for long road trips and allows me to play against my teammates in online matches when we are together or even across the country.”
Peter Dille, SCEA's Senior VP of Marketing, is optimistic about their ad campaigns. Having Michael Strahan, according to him, as the endorser for the PSP “conveys the message that PSP is one of the most aspirational entertainment devices out there.” He believes that this is something that can occupy most athletes' and celebrities' time while they are on the road.
Look out for this new ads on different TV networks in December until January.
