PSP - PDC Championship darts Goes Portable

Aside from pool, jukebox, and pint, the darts is an essential element in a typical British pub experience. Although this is to be taken as a leisure activity, many have decided to take it a step further and play it professionally in various tournaments.

Among the said tournament is the annual PDC World Darts Championship which is held from December to January. The winner for the said tournament gets to take home as much as £100,000, out of a total £600,000 cash prize to be won. However, as the tournament continues to grow, it is projected that come 2010 the prize pot will rise to £ 1 million.

To those of you who dream of trying out for the tournament but is quite hesitant with your darting skills, you can take it to the virtual world and play championship darts as the PDC World Championship Darts, which was already released on the PS2 and PC way back in 2006, is set to be released on the Xbox 360 and PSP. Another version of the said title for the PC, PS2, and Wii was also released earlier this year.

The game's 360 version will have an online multiplayer mode that will allow gamers to go up against one another in exhibition matches. You can keep track of your performance as the statistics and leaderboards are updated.

Meanwhile, the PSP version will sport a wireless multiplayer and game sharing. Not only that, PSP owners are able to customized their profiles by uploading their own photos. Then, gamers will be able to customize the game's soundtrack by choosing any MP3 file of their choice from the game's memory stick.

Look out for the PSP and Xbox 360 versions of PDC World Championship Darts to come out in the UK at the third quarter of 2008.
