PSP - PSP Camera, GPS Add-Ons Get North American Launch Details
It's been over a year since the GPS and camera add-ons were first introduced to gamers. Unfortunately, they have not been made available to North America- until now.
At the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Sony announced the camera and GPS (global positioning system) will be coming to North America by the end of 2008. They couldn't get more specific than that but at least now we know they are coming.
It was also announced Sony is working on a keyboard for the PlayStation Portable- good news for those sick of the cell phone- style way of entering text. Presently the release date is set for mid- 2009 for the keyboard. When asked if the design would be similar to a mock up shown at the 2005 Electronics Entertainment Expo a Sony rep said they were looking at several different designs and could not specify anything more.
