PSP - PSP Sales Hit 10 Million Mark In Japan
As of July 15, Sony Japan was happy to announce that the PlayStation Portable was managed to sell 10 million units in the said region. The report also details how the sales figures comprise both sales made on the PSP Slim, which was released in September 2007, and the PSP Fat, released on December 2004.
The sales figures released are solely for the Japanese sales of the PSP. There were no figures or reports shown when it comes to sales of PSP in North America, Europe, or in any other parts of the globe.
If you can remember, John Koller previously made a statement saying that new games are expected to arrive on the PSP by the second half of 2008, and a few more games when it hits 2009. Aside from that, Sony is also planning to increase the handheld system's connectivity with the PS3. Hence, this could all contribute to the increased sales in PSP as there has been a lot of promise for the said console.
