PSP - Remote Play Confirmed For PS3 Bionic Commando: Rearmed
After you've tried dragon-riding in Lair, tower-defending in Pixel Junk Monsters, and being able to experience the Remote Play feature in a couple other games, here's more great news. GRIN has recently confirmed to MTV that Capcom's upcoming Bionic Commando: Rearmed will now be playable on the PSP.
Yes, you hear it right. The classic remake of the 8-bit NES title will not only be playable via Remote Play, but will also earn the status of becoming the first ever third-party published game to support the interconnectivity feature. This is because those games that have been previously supported by Remote Play have been developed or published by Sony.
So, it only keeps the hope alive that some other developers and publishers will also follow this lead.
Bionic Commando Rearmed is set to be released on the PlayStation Network on May of this year. Its XBLA and PC counterparts will also be released simultaneously. Should the game perform pretty well, which is expected knowing that the Remote Play support has now been confirmed, it should be a sign of brighter things to come as the upcoming Bionic Commando sequel (currently on the Alpha stage of its development) lands on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Just to remind you, the Remote Play function works only on the PlayStation 3 version of the game. Sorry, XBox 360!
